What is the difference between Interpreting and Translation?
Interpreting involves real-time processing of spoken language to facilitate immediate conversations, while translation focuses on converting written text with time for research and refinement to ensure precision and polish. Both demand advanced linguistic and cultural competence, but they differ significantly in pace, environment, and output format.

Two primary modes are used, tailored to the event’s requirements:

  • Simultaneous Interpreting: The interpreter delivers the translation concurrently with the speaker, ideal for large conferences, summits, and events needing uninterrupted flow.
  • Consecutive Interpreting: The interpreter listens to a speech segment, then renders it after the speaker pauses, suited to business meetings, diplomatic discussions, or site visits.
I specialise in Polish (A) and English (B) for interpreting and translation. This expertise is supported by a Master of Arts with Distinction in Conference Interpreting from London Metropolitan University (2025) and DPSI qualifications in Public Service Interpreting for Health and Law.
Holder of a Master of Arts with Distinction in Conference Interpreting (2025), with DPSI Diplomas in Health and Law, and registered with the National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI). My practice adheres to the ethical standards of these professional bodies.

Each interpreting assignment, translation project, or event is quoted on an individual basis. There are a few factors that come into play when pricing a complex service, so please get in touch so I can provide you with an accurate quote tailored to your specific assignment.

The exact price will depend on a number of factors, including:

• The type of service required (simultaneous, consecutive, or translation).
• The location and duration of the assignment.
• The amount of time required for specialised preparation.

My rates are competitive and reflect the quality and professionalism of my services. The final quote will be itemised for full transparency.

Please note: Simultaneous interpreting requires a minimum two-interpreter team for accuracy and fatigue compliance.
